Predator Free Whitford
Some awesome work has been going on across Whitford, but to get the job done, we need everyone in the game.
Why this project matters
Predator Free Whitford is bringing the community together to protect the native wildlife that makes this rural landscape so special. By supporting landowners and residents with regular bait and trap days, practical advice, and community action, the group is reducing rats, possums and mustelids while creating safer habitats for native birds, lizards and other wildlife.
Every property that gets involved helps strengthen a connected network of predator control, making a real difference for nature across Whitford and beyond.

Already have traps and bait stations?
We would love it if you could map them on Trap.NZ, and, even better, keep records of what you catch (Don’t worry, the exact locations are kept private, it just lets us know roughly where action is happening in the area).
