The C.R.E.S.T is sorting it's pests out
Some awesome work has been going on around Clarks Beach, Waiau Pa, Seagrove and the Taihiki estuary, but to get the job done, we need everyone in the game.
Why this project matters
The CREST brings local communities together to protect the rare and remarkable birdlife of the southern Manukau Harbour. From Clarks Beach and Waiau Pa, to Kingseat and the unique shoreline inbetween.
Working across beaches, estuaries, farmland and native bush, volunteers reduce introduced predators and regenerate habitats that support shorebirds and other native wildlife.
By connecting predator control, habitat regeneration and local action across the landscape, The CREST. is helping ensure this special part of Aotearoa remains rich in biodiversity for generations to come.
