Turanga Restoration Project

Some awesome work has been going on tacking pest plants along the Turanga Creek, but to get the job done, we need everyone in the game

Why this project matters

The Tūranga Creek Restoration Project is bringing local people together to transform the Potts Road Walkway and surrounding estuary into a healthier, more resilient natural environment.

This long-term restoration project focuses on removing invasive pest plants, pampas grass, gorse, woolly nightshade, Chinese privet and moth plant, regenerating native habitats, and protecting the waterways that connect land and sea.

Whether someone joins for a single working bee or becomes a regular volunteer, every contribution helps create a lasting legacy for wildlife and the wider community.
