Why this project matters
Nestled between the Manukau Harbour, rolling farmland and the rugged west coast, Waiuku is a unique mix of urban and rural landscapes where native wildlife lives alongside thriving communities.
The Waiuku Predator Trap Library supports local residents, schools and community groups to protect these special places by making predator control practical, affordable and accessible. Through trap and bait station hire, expert advice and community education, the library empowers people to take action—whether they're members of the Trap Library or simply looking to make a difference.
Together, we're creating a stronger network of predator control across Waiuku, creating safer habitats where native wildlife can thrive for generations to come.
